Makati City, Philippines — May 28, 2025
In a significant step toward strengthening educational and cultural cooperation between the Philippines and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador-Designate Faisal Ebraheem Alghamdi of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Manila officially launched the “Study in Saudi” program.

Held in Makati City, the launch event gathered key representatives from academic and diplomatic sectors, including CEO/President Arnold Mamaclay, who showed strong support for international education initiatives that create life-changing opportunities for Filipino students.
The “Study in Saudi” program will offer 256 fully-funded scholarships to qualified Filipinos for the academic year 2025–2026. These scholarships cover both undergraduate and graduate degrees, allowing recipients to study at prestigious institutions in Saudi Arabia alongside students from various parts of the world.
The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to fostering global academic exchange and empowering future leaders through accessible education. Each scholarship package includes full tuition coverage, accommodation, living allowances, and other academic support—removing financial barriers for deserving students.

This program not only provides academic advancement but also encourages intercultural understanding, skill development, and global networking—key elements for success in today’s interconnected world.
Application guidelines and eligibility criteria will be released through official embassy channels. Interested applicants are encouraged to monitor announcements and prepare the necessary documents for submission.
The “Study in Saudi” program underscores the Kingdom’s dedication to nurturing global talent and building meaningful partnerships with countries like the Philippines, united by the goal of educational excellence.
